We are proud to offer quality black bear hunts on our Sunnyside, Piney Valley, Pinto Valley and Williams Fork Ranches. Bear only hunts take place in September by draw, or can be combined with your deer and elk hunt with an over the counter license. Over the last several years we have seen a tremendous increase in the number of bears on the Ranches, and have harvested several trophy bears.
We have identified several areas on the properties where bears are frequently seen, and are confident that we can harvest many of these big bruins. Although we have a strong population of bears on the Ranches, hunting pressure has been extremely light, so our success is very high. The Ranches offer ideal habitat for bears, and changes in the structure of bear hunting in Colorado have produced a much stronger presence of bears in our areas. We have a great variety of color phase bears on the Ranch, from jet black, chocolate, cinnamon, to blonde. Many of the bears are three hundred plus, so the chances at a trophy bear are great! Give us a call to discuss the details of how you can have the opportunity to take a trophy bear, whether it be a bear hunt only, or along with your deer or elk hunt with us!
A five day bear only hunt is $3,400 and is available from September 2-30, five day hunt. A bear hunt can be added to your guided deer or elk hunt for only $1,800 and coincides with the regular deer and elk hunting dates.
